For a museum, these things signify continued creative expression through its exhibitions, and provision of cultural knowledge to the community, especially for future generations. Without patronage from members and community organizations, museums cannot achieve their missions.

Membership contributions to the Brevard Art Museum help us continue to provide a rich, culture bounty to the public, as individuals carry on the modern equivalent of the tradition of artistic and cultural patronage. Just as the Medici family endowed the Renaissance with artworks by Leonardo and Michelangelo, so too can you enrich the cultural fabric of your community.

The Renaissance Club is the highest level of membership at the Brevard Art Museum, a select designation for high-level contributors of $1,000 and higher. Benefits received from the Renaissance membership match the investment you’ve made in continuing the growth and superior quality of culture this institution provides. Renaissance members are acknowledged for their generous contributions on the Medici Plaque in the Art Museum lobby, and in the Museum publications, like the Museletter. The Museum’s Board of Trustees will host a party in your honor annually.

You’ll also receive free copies of exhibition catalogs, invitations to other exclusive events, special discounts, free admission to select events and performances (like Jazz Friday) , and of course, Museum admission is free. Your Brevard Art Museum membership also gives you access to over 200 science museums and over 80 art museums around the United States. Renaissance members also receive the privilege of hosting one party in the Museum with rental fees waived (one use per membership year).

With the beginning of the new millennium, we are looking forward to a renewed Renaissance membership drive to seek out those individuals who will help us continue this rich tradition of patrons who cultivate humanism and nurture beauty, for today and for civilizations to come.
